Prior to this role, she co-led the National Security and Civil Rights Program at the Asian Law Caucus in San Francisco, California. In that role, Christina utilized a combination of impact litigation, direct legal services, policy work, and community education and outreach to combat national security policies that proliferate the surveillance state and target the Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim, and South Asian community. Her work particularly focused on the intersection of national security, criminal, and immigration law. While at the Caucus, she helped pass legislation in San Francisco that mandated local and state civil rights protections are complied with when local police work with federal task forces. She also helped lead the effort to pass similar legislation in Oakland, California.
